Peter Mayer’s “Stars and Promises Alive”

Peter Mayer leaves his “day job” as writer, lead guitarist, and Coral Reefer for Jimmy Buffett to bring original and traditional Christmas music to Tulsa.

This year’s concert is at 7pm on Friday, December 16, 2011 at Venue 68.

Recently featured in “Premier Guitar”, Mayer heads an array of top drawer musicians, including Sheryl Crowe’s original drummer, Scott Bryan, native american flute player, Mark Holland, pianist, Chris Walters, and violin ingenue, Maggie Estes in performing award winning, warm fuzzy-producing tunes in Tulsa’s coolest new Christmas tradition.

Tickets are $15 and are available for sale at http://www.itickets.com, Kirk of the Hills Presbyterian Church, Asbury Methodist Church and Mardel’s.

Proceeds benefit Goodland Academy, Oklahoma’s oldest agency.  Begun as an orphanage at the end of the Trail of Tears, 162 years later, Goodland Academy is still raising exemplary people focusing on a two parent home environment and education.
