FBCNT Summer Projects

A lot of things are happening this summer at First Baptist Church North Tulsa!

June 13th – 17th, Vacation Bible School: “Chosen Champions for Jesus.”  5:30 nightly.

June 15th, First Tee Summer Program — For kids 8-18, we are offering the opportunity to learn how to play golf!

Right now we are working on Renovating Stalnaker Hall, which is similar to a Rec. Center. It serves several of our ministries. We have approx 70% of the funds but need a donation of $150,000 to get started.

Master Gardener Showcase Garden Tour

Six Tulsa Gardens will be featured in the Tulsa Master Gardeners Showcase Garden Tour on Saturday, June 11 and Sunday, June 12. The tour includes five home gardens owned by Master Gardeners along with the demonstration garden at the Tulsa County Extension Building, 4116 East 15th Street.

Hours of the tour are 9 to 5 on Saturday, and 11 to 5 on Sunday. The Theme for 2011 is “Real Gardens for Real People.”

Master Gardeners will be available at each location to answer questions and provide information. Plants from local nurseries will be available for purchase.

Tickets are $5 in advance or $10 on the day of the tour. Tickets for the entire tour can be purchased at any of the gardens, or they can be purchased in advance at the Extension Office at 4116 East 15th St.

Working with Oklahoma State University Extension Services and Tulsa County, the 340 active Master Gardeners, one of the largest such groups in the nation, provide a variety of volunteer services and community beautification programs. This event supports programs such as school enrichment, free horticulture classes, senior living projects, speakers programs, landscaping for Habitat for Humanity homes, and telephone gardening assistance.

Men’s Health Seminar at FBCNT
